John Shields, BBC Radio 4
John is Assistant Editor at BBC Radio 4's Today programme. He first joined the programme in 2005 and has since done stints in the BBC bureaux in Washington and Jerusalem, as well as on Radio 1's Newsbeat. Prior to joining the BBC he worked for a democracy-building NGO in the Caucasus and then as a defence and security analyst at Jane's.
